Chapter 30
Chapter 30
She sees me before I can say anything and immediately runs toward and embraces me in a hug. “I was so worried! You left and then everyone was like ‘Wait where’s the new girl?’ and then and then...well I’m just so glad you're here.” Amelia blurts. I smile. “We left Stathford to see if we could chase down the man that was draining your power.” I explain. I pulled away from her.“Long story short, we ran from Lamia and then ended up here.” I continue. Suddenly, Amelia’s face turns a deadly white. “Lamia? You mean...you mean she’s still here?” Amelia shivers. “It’s not as bad as it seems, so far we’re safe here. I mean look at this place, glass ceiling. Power-proof gates. I don’t think the definition of safe can be more obvious than here.” I gesture around the building that we are in.
“Yeah but just knowing she’s still out there It’s..I guess I just thought that she was gone for good you know?” Amelia tosses her orange hair back. “Now how did you get here?” I ask Amelia. Before she can answer, Nixon comes up behind me. “Hey Byleth, I was- Oh, hey who’s this?” Nixon notices Amelia. “Oh, this is my friend from Stathford. Her name is Amelia. Amelia, this is Nixon, he’s part of the daylight tribe.” I introduce. Amelia nods shyly. “I'll leave you to catch up but let me know if you need anything Amelia. I’m sure we already have a room reserved for you.” Nixon smiles as he walks away. “Come on, I’ll show you to my room and we can talk.” I say. Amelia follows me to my room on the third level of the castle. My room has a king size bed complete with a bathroom that has a walk-in shower so big that you could mistaken it for a room all by itself.
An indoor waterfall bubbles from the corner or my room near the dressing room which has a door that connects it to my closet. A vanity lays near the bathroom with all kinds of makeup. “This is crazy! And I thought the houses in Stathford were nice…” Amelia trails off. Two plush chairs are seated behind a pastel blue table. I walk toward the table and take my seat in one of the chairs. Amelia eventually sits in the other chair; after she takes one more look at my room. “So how did you get here?” I ask Amelia. “Well, I kind of knew that you would think this mysterious dude is in the unknown territory you know? At first I was like ‘nu uh I am not going in a deep and dark forest where I probably won’t find them.’ but then I was like ‘I want an adventure so I’ll go and I want to see the unknown forest cause I’ve never seen it before.’ Then I saw Mentalia and knew that you guys must have stopped here.” Amelia explained. “Wow...that’s a lot.” I say. I can’t believe that Amelia came all the way over here to see us. Was she that concerned? Or did she just want an adventure like she said?
“Enough about me, more about you! How’s your life here? It’s so...spacious.” Amelia says. I laugh. “It’s going pretty good, I’ve already made a couple of friends. I also found this place near a stream that’s really peaceful. I’ll have to take you there sometime.” I say. “Ohh, sounds cool. And what was that guy that I met earlier?” Amelia asks. She fumbles with the fabric of her hoodie. “Oh, well you saw him. His name is Nixon. We’re pretty good friends.” I say. “I don’t know about that…” Amelia says. “What do you mean?” I ask her. Nixon is just my friend, I don’t understand why Amelia wouldn’t think that. Is there something that he’s not telling me? “And what’s up with the, you know, the black hair?” Amelia twirls her wavy hair between her fingers. “That’s the cool part, me and him both are weird here. If you see that I have white hair right now, the human teal dye that I was wearing wore off. And I think Nixon well…” I trail off. If Nixon has black hair then...does that mean that he, he. I don’t even want to think about it but my mind does anyway. What if Nixon is a twilight tribe dragon, what if he’s part of that group?
Wow! I can't believe that I have officially written thirty chapters of Sunset Slayers! I've never gotten this far in a book before so I am pretty proud of myself for getting this far! (Except for the fact that I don't exactly like how my story is turning out but I am bound to have my critiques every now and then.) You may be wondering when I am going to blog about my life next, read the next blog post ' update and then you will get your answer!
Aaaw, I like Amilia more now! She seems really kind and she wasn't that heartbroken sense Byleth left. Just know that I WILL draw her sometime!!😁😂
