Chapter 29
Chapter 29
After drying off from the fight which I won by the way, we race toward the castle, eager to get lunch. Before we enter the doors though, Will comes out. “Oh I didn’t notice you two were out here.” Will says. I try to wipe my hair off from the mud but it doesn’t work. Suddenly I feel very aware that both of them are staring at me. “What?” I ask them. “You’re hair…” Nixon trails off. I look at the hair on my shoulders. It is white, just the way it was before I dyed my hair. The human dye must have worn off because I remember reading the label saying that it could be washed off with a lot of water. No teal remains in my hair.
I touch it carefully. Do I like it this way? “I never knew you didn’t actually have teal hair.” Will says. “What? Don’t you have dye here? I mean you have yellow hair.” I gesture to Will. “We’re naturally born with our hair colors.” Will explains. Another thing to add to the list of things I don’t have in common with everyone else. “Oh.” I say simply. “It’s fine though, I think it looks great that way.” Will states. I look at my feet. “I’m going to go get some lunch.” Nixon says. He walks slowly over to the door. I nod. “What’s going on with the two of you?” Will asks me after the door closes. “Oh nothing, we’re just friends.” Somehow I feel like that's not true but for now it’s the truth.
“Well, you want to...I don’t know, hang out sometime?” Will asks me. “Sure! I found this really cool place down by the stream.” I say. He nods. “Alright then, I guess you wanna come to lunch with me?” I ask. “Sure.” Will follows me into the castle. We walk into the ‘cafeteria’ which is way more like a ball room combined with a dining room. The room is the size of a football field and everyone sits on chairs that are placed behind long, wood-polished tables. The carpet is a red velvet color which only adds to the fanciness. Balloons hang in every corner of the room, showing the daylight tribe colors. Mentalia- the town name for the daylight tribe is probably by far one of the most fanciest tribes I have ever seen.
Everywhere you look there is some trace of Mataya arranging fancy decorations. For the past month, I have trained every day with the other soldiers for the mission. It has been hard work, but we all know that it’s for defeating Lamia once and for all. Which brings me to the fact that we are working toward trying to defeat my family. I don’t exactly know how I feel about this especially because everyone is still trying to convince me that what Lamia talked to me about in the forest, was not true. I walk back to my room, deciding to go meet Gen. We have become great friends over time and we usually meet every day around this time. But the next thing I see surprises me so much that I forget all about my hang out with Gen. A girl with orange hair wrapped up on top a bun with a cropped hoodie, black yoga pants, and converse walks down the hall toward me. Amelia.
That would be interesting if humans actually WERE born with all sorts of difference colored hair...other than the typical blond, brown, etc.
ReplyDeleteHmm, that would be interesting 😌
DeleteI would have wanted purple!!😁
DeleteSo let me get this strait, Byleth has WHITE hair!? That means she must be a Twilight tribe elf, hehe! I forgot they never knew her hair was dyed 😅
ReplyDeleteSame here, although then wouldn't that mean that Byleth was the one draining their powers?? That was one of the things I was wondering though, cause I knew Byleth didn't actually have teal hair, but everyone thought she did 😄. Question answered!!😁
DeleteByleth is not a twilight tribe elf. She's just a bit different from everyone else :)
ReplyDeleteYeah don't mind that, that was just me sharing my theory in the comments :3
