Chapter 3

Chapter 3

“Oh um, hey Will.” Corrin looks at her feet. “Welcome Blythe, to Stathford where all sunset dragons live in peace. I’m William, the tribal leader. Nice to meet you.” His hand is held out and I shake it but I don’t know why, I just feel really funny doing it. It’s probably just because I’m in a fantasy world. “No one can know that she has never figured that she’s an elf before!” Corrin quickly saves me from my secret and I snap out of my gaze at William. “Would you like me to show you around Blythe?” William asks me. “Of course! I mean, sure.” I say. “Ok then, I have a lot to show you but before we start, you look like you're starving.” He points to a nearby cafe named Sunset cafe. “But I just ate lunch.” I protest. “Not here. If any dragon comes from the human world to the dragon world, they feel just as hungry as they did before they ate their recent meal. All food eaten in one day in the human world is erased so you are starving because your body hasn’t had any food yet for today.” He explains. “Oh um wow.” I look down at my feet again. “I know it’s a lot to take in but you’ll get it eventually, don’t worry.” He winks at me and I smile so big that someone could literally fit a whole banana in my mouth but I look at the ground.

“Good luck Blythe.” Corrin pats me on the back and goes to talk to a group of yellow colored sunset elves. “Let’s go, when the sun sets, our power is replenished.” He says. We walk on streets and go inside stores, we even meet one of the store clerks. Just as William is about to show me where my house is, a girl about my age comes out from hiding. Her hair is black and is twisted into a long braid in the back. She has a tight black suit on and she grins wickedly at me and Will. “Looks like you are trying to charm the newcomer eh? Well, I’m Banyonetta but the people said that I should be called Rayonetta so I guess I’m Rayonetta.” She looks at both of us expectantly. “Wait, you have to change your name?” I ask, looking at Will. I don’t want to change my name, Blythe is sure a rare name to have but still, I don’t want it changing to something weird like Rayonetta. “Yes Blythe, you will have to change your name. It’s the tribe tradition.” He looks down at his feet. “Well, you two have to leave to whatever you're doing, I just wanted to say hi to you.” She smiles again and goes back into hiding. “Sorry about her, she's um, let’s just say an outcast. You see how you're wearing a blue suit and I’m wearing an orange one? Those are sunset colors. Rayonetta never wears sunset colors and dislikes the tribe so me and the tribal council decided to banish her from her home so she lives on the streets now. She was also very dangerous when the element dragon came to destroy us. I was just a little boy when it happened. My mom told me that Rayonetta had tried to kill the element dragon with one of her horns but the element dragon was so powerful that Rayonetta’s horn broke so she never decided to turn back into a sunset dragon again because she was ashamed of how she looked.” He takes a breath. I look down at my feet. We walk toward my house and it’s so luxurious! There’s couches everywhere, a built in pool in the backyard, a room that makes you feel like the sun is setting, a walk-in shower, a waterfall on the inside, a flat-screen TV, and a king bed. “This is the best house I’ve ever had!” I flop onto the king bed and sink into it. “Before you get too settled, we need to rename you. I think you should be renamed, Byleth which means peace.” I smile. “I like that name. What did you rename Corrin?” I ask.

“He sits down in a chair next to the bed. “Her original name was Corri but I added an n which means fighter.” He chuckles. “At first she was mad at me because she wanted to be named something better but then she became a true fighter and realized that her name suited her well.” He leans back in his chair. “What do you usually name girls in the sunset tribe?” I ask again. “Usually the colors of the sunset, I once named a girl blue and she was so happy that she hugged me and went screaming off to her house.” His eyes look up into the ceiling. “Why didn’t you name me one of the colors of the sunset?” I ask. He looks down at the floor, he doesn't answer. His face turns red and he gets up. “I have to go bye. If you need anything just call me and I’ll help you.” He waves and then walks out of the door. I hear a knock on the door and I open it. A girl with orange hair and an orange suit is there. “Hi! I’m Amelia. You must be Byleth. I saw Will on the way in here. You want to be friends?”

Alright! Here are some pictures below of drawings that I have made:

(The girl that bullied Blyth at the highschool. I messed up the skin tone on the face because it had green in it)
(The giant owl that appeared in front of Blyth's house)
(Blyth with her water and fire elements along with her combat suit which is automatically put on her after she transforms from a dragon back to an elf)
I am really excited that I got my first fan art! One of my friends made this fan art based off of the picture I drew above:
What do you think of these drawings? Would you like to send you own fan art? Feel free to send it to me in the mail! Comment below!
