A fun hike!

This morning, I was woken up early to go on a hike with my cousins! We had a lot of fun, even if the first mile was pretty strenuous😬. Here are some pictures of me, and some of the others on the way up:

On the way up, my cousin got a shot of a really tiny chipmunk jumping over some rocks: (It kind of blends in with the scenery but hopefully your able to see it😊)

At one point, there was a small rest area with a couple of rocks and logs to sit on. It was the end of the super steep part at the beginning of the hike so we all stopped there to have some water and eat some snacks. Here is me on top of one of the logs tea-posing😋 :

We technically only hiked a third of the way to the tallest mountain in the Southern California but still, we all felt accomplished when we got to the point where we turned back. We stopped there to talk, eat snack, and take a break. Here is all of us at our final destination:

We set at a much faster pace on the way down since there really were no steep parts. Here is a picture of us stopping on the way down:

For the rest of the day, me, my mom, and brother relaxed until me and my brother had a dentist appointment at 5:00. We watched a good episode of a house flipping show and I can't wait for tomorrow as we are going swimming with our friends. I hope to hike the summit someday and I know I will feel really accomplished when I do it. But, from what my mom and brother tells me (They have hiked the summit) you have all the adrenaline to get up, but on the way down, your so tired you could literally flop down on a log and sleep. But, I am up for the challenge! And hope that maybe the cousins will join us??? Anyway, thank you everyone for the comments. Again, please feel free to comment about what you think of my book!
