Chapter 31

Chapter 31 “Have you been avoiding me?” Nixon wears a checkered shirt this time along with some black pants. His black hair is combed and gelled. Ever since I had the idea of Nixon not worthy of being trusted, I’ve avoided him. I can’t risk him finding out any more of my secrets. I can’t believe I trusted him so easily. I sit on the ledge of a fountain, my fingers swirling the crystal blue water in the fountain. “Was it something I said?” Nixon asks, sitting down next to me. Amelia eventually asked me what was bothering me and I told her about my suspicion of Nixon. She simply told me that I don’t know him that well yet and should probably until I get to know him better to assume things like that.    I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out. The truth is, I have been avoiding him but it’s not like I’m going to say ‘yeah, I’m definitely avoiding you cause I think your evil’ “Look, I’m..” I frown, maybe I do have to say that. “I was talking to Amelia about how both ...

Update

Image
I know that I have not been keeping up with my posts for the last two weeks so I think that I need to motivate myself a bit more by going back to blogging every day. I guess I just always had so much to do when I was blogging every day when I first started my blog and I have SO many pictures of what we did these past two weeks. So, you will now get a chapter everyday and a blog post of how I'm doing every day! If going back to blogging every day doesn't work out, I'll try to figure something else out. But, for now this is what I am doing. I hope that everyone is having a wonderful week! My blogging every day will start tomorrow. Bye! And remember: Stay positive!

Chapter 30

Chapter 30 She sees me before I can say anything and immediately runs toward and embraces me in a hug. “I was so worried! You left and then everyone was like ‘Wait where’s the new girl?’ and then and then...well I’m just so glad you're here.” Amelia blurts. I smile. “We left Stathford to see if we could chase down the man that was draining your power.” I explain. I pulled away from her.“Long story short, we ran from Lamia and then ended up here.” I continue. Suddenly, Amelia’s face turns a deadly white. “Lamia? You mean...you mean she’s still here?” Amelia shivers. “It’s not as bad as it seems, so far we’re safe here. I mean look at this place, glass ceiling. Power-proof gates. I don’t think the definition of safe can be more obvious than here.” I gesture around the building that we are in. “Yeah but just knowing she’s still out there It’s..I guess I just thought that she was gone for good you know?” Amelia tosses her orange hair back. “Now how did you get here?” I ask Amelia. Be...

Chapter 29

Chapter 29 After drying off from the fight which I won by the way, we race toward the castle, eager to get lunch. Before we enter the doors though, Will comes out. “Oh I didn’t notice you two were out here.” Will says. I try to wipe my hair off from the mud but it doesn’t work. Suddenly I feel very aware that both of them are staring at me. “What?” I ask them. “You’re hair…” Nixon trails off. I look at the hair on my shoulders. It is white, just the way it was before I dyed my hair. The human dye must have worn off because I remember reading the label saying that it could be washed off with a lot of water. No teal remains in my hair. I touch it carefully. Do I like it this way? “I never knew you didn’t actually have teal hair.” Will says. “What? Don’t you have dye here? I mean you have yellow hair.” I gesture to Will. “We’re naturally born with our hair colors.” Will explains. Another thing to add to the list of things I don’t have in common with everyone else. “Oh.” I say...

Chapter 28

Chapter 28 A rock skips gracefully across the water, the tiny little fish under the water gazing up at this new action curiously. The fish don’t miss their family because their family is always there with them. Or people they knew. They didn’t have to travel to another realm or something like that, they didn’t have to leave abruptly from their family and try to act like everything was ok. I sigh. It’s been a month since I was captured and everyone already knows that Lamia is targeting me, they already know that they have to keep me safe at literally all times. I miss the happy smile of my mom when I got home or the look of remorse when I caught my brother doing something he shouldn’t. What is even worse? Knowing that I can’t go back. Knowing that I may never see those faces again. “You know you can’t just stay here forever.” I look behind me to see Nixon. I’ve gotten to know him better this past month since I was introduced to him. “Yeah I can.” I protest. He sits down next to me...

Ask a Character

I'm taking a little break from writing chapters to host a little event called "Ask a Character"! Here, you can comment any questions you want to ask any character from my story! For example, let's say I wanted to know whether Byleth likes to fight or not. I would simply 'ask' in the comment section and I'll edit this post every so often to answer the questions people may have. This post will always be open so if you have questions for the characters twenty chapters from now, you can still ask them! So what are you waiting for...ask away!  Alright, to answer your question Hailey, I was just about to have Byleth be sad about that in the next chapter. I was kind of thinking about how she left her family and was like 'whoopy-de-do I'm not sad at all' you know?  You can ask any questions you have about the story. Except of course for anything that might happen in the future because I don't want to spoil my own book for you😊. Yes, Rayonetta is ...

Chapter 27

Chapter 27 “Nice to meet you.” I say. “I’m sorry that you had to go through that, we have now have added on protection so even one tiny suspicious thing is on our watch.” Nixon reassures me. “Thanks.” I mumble. “Where’s Rayonetta and Corrin? They were able to escape when I was captured but...did they?..” My lip trembles. “No Byleth, they’re in another room, talking with the queen about starting up a new training program for the mission we need to finish.” Will explains. I breathe a sigh of relief, I don’t know what I would have done if they didn’t make it, all I know is that it wouldn’t be good. Nixon seats himself in a chair beside my bed. Russel the doctor scurries over to the bed and holds up a vial of what looks like grape juice. “I’m not drinking that.” I say. I’m not sure what elfy medicine they have here, but I’m sure it’s not good. “Trust me Byleth, we make our medicine with the deliciousness of foods so you won’t have to worry about the taste being bad.” Russel explains....
